Vegetable Growers Will Meet At Trump’s BRIDGETON, NJ. After many successful annual meetings at Resorts International, the Veg etable Growers Association of New Jersey (VGANJ) is moving their 1990 meeting to Trump Castle hotel and casino. Plans are being completed to host more than 2,000 people, including growers, agribusiness professionals and state and univer sity specialists from New Jersey and the eastern U.S. This year’s trade show will fea ture 130 exhibit spaces, all located in the crystal ballroom. The education program will focus on important issues and top ics of concern to New Jersey growers, including sustainable vegetable production, food safety, water quality, and regulations. New Jersey Department of Agriculture leaders, Rutgers research and Extension special ists, and county agricultural agents will provide growers with the latest information on regula tions, pesticides, IPM, and cultur al practices under local condi tions. 1990 VGANJ Program At A Glance UiUlllW. The Martins, who represent the cooperative’s Middle Atlantic Di vision, milk 200 registered Jersey cows at their Franklin County farm. Dairymen’s Annual Meeting in Atlanta attracted some 2,200 members. During the two days of meetings, they listened to reports from Dairymen’s directors and top management on the cooperative’s successes the past fiscal year and the challenges and opportunities for members and their co-op this fiscal year.
