Movement of ready-to-cook whole
fiyen was generally fair today but about as
expected. Supplies were in good balance
with buyer interests. Less than trucklot
asking prices were unchanged to higher at
51-66 cents. Live supplies continued short
of needs. Average live weights ranged light
to desirable. The processing schedules
were moderately heavy. Today's trade
sentiment was fully steady to firm. In the
pans complex, supplies of wings were at
least adequate, breasfs items were in dose
balance, and and dark meat items were
tight with some interest for current delive
ries going unfilled.

Jan. 10, 1990
Trucklot buying interest was mixed and
irregular. Supplies of breasts, both
skinless-boneless and whole were in close
balance and generally easy to place. Leg
quarters were adequate to short as heavy
retail ad activity at 39 to 59 cents kept most
supplies clearing. Legs were only about
adequate as traders concentrated on filling
the call for leg quarters. Wings continued
adequate to fully adequate at unchanged
prices.
