Hammer daughter out of Colts
Belle 26-1. She is out of a litter of
17 of which 11 were raised. Ham
mer is at stud at Stoney Creek, and
Colts Belle is a littermate to the ’BB
Farm Show reserve champion,
which holds the record sales
amount of $1,050. Miss Hammer
was bred artificially to CB Adidas,
a national barrow show champion.
Landraces
THF Blender 2-4 is “one gilt
that excells,” according to Bress
ner. Blender, exhibited by John H.
Cheryl Bennecoff, with a little help from her son Todd,
exhibited the champion Poland China gilt. The pig is a IXIB
Sal Balance 34-3 daughter out of IXLB S Pk Pet 16-10.

half sister to last year’s Farm Show
champion Landrace, also owned
by Mummert. Blender was champ
ion at last year’s York Fair, and her
grand sire has fathered many Farm
Show champions. The February
gilt is a VBF 7 Barsk 2-12 daughter
out of THF 7 Blender 6-1.
The reserve champion Landrace
went to a January gilt shown by
Grant Lazarus 111 of Germansville.
Poland Chinas
In only her second year of own
ing and showing Poiand Chinas,
Cheryl Bennecoff of Kutztown has
had a Farm Show champion.

16-10, is a littermate to the reserve

leys to their third Farm Show
grand championship ribbon this
year. The January daughter of
RRA7 MrT outofTM7 Jenny 3-4,
Jenny 2-9 is bred to BLL Standout
4-2. Her dam’s sire, FSF6 Timber
2-2 fathered the champion gilt at
last year’s Farm Show.
Russell Kegg of Bedford con
signed his second consecutive
reserve champion Spotted Swine
this year. Owner of the 1989 Farm
Show reserve champion as well,
Kegg has been coming to Farm
Show with his gilts for 10 years.
RA9 Beauty is a RA7 Oscar 30-2
daughter out of RA7 Beauty 30-6.
Both championship Yoikshire
titles went to gilts consigned by
Strawbridge and McCleary.
Strawbridge exhibited last year’s
reserve champion as well.
