Group 3 of the Berks County
Society of Farm Women met for
its November meeting at the home
of Sonya Moyer, Boyertown. Ele
ven members attended.
A thank-you note was received
from the Make-A-Wish Founda
tion for the Farm Women’s recent
donation. Donations were made to
the Hamburg Center and to the
Soup Kitchen in Reading. Fruit
baskets and poinsettias will be dis
tributed by the Sunshine Commit
tee to shut-ins at Christmas. Mem
bers were reminded of the State
Convention in Harrisburg on
January 8 and 9.
The next meeting will be a
Christmas banquet at Yingling’s
Restaurant on December 28. A $5
gift exchange will be featured.
