Risscr who has been working in Lancaster County as a supervisor for a total of 36 years, 34 of which are consecutive.' Patti Johnson, who has'been a Lancaster County supervisor for the past 11 years, received the dis tinguished service award, which is Jay Rlsser, a veteran supervisor having served 36 years, was honored with the superior service award, which goes to only one per son In the state. Axel Linde and Mildred Wid mann of Kirkwood own the top Guernsey herd, which had an aver age of 12,614 pounds of milk and 507 pounds fat. The top Holstein herd, with an average of 23,457 pounds of milk and 851 pounds of milk, is owned by John H. Howard of Willow Street. With an average of 13,796 pounds of milk and 646 pounds of fat, Karl Herr’s herd was the top among Jerseys, and Douglas Marsh of Nottingham had the top Milking Shorthorn herd, which had an average of 12,614 pounds of milk and 507 pounds of fat The only herd on test with a somatic cell count of less than 100,000 was owned by Roy E. Scnsenig of Nottingham. His herd’s average count was 87,000. The association’s herd with the top fat production was the Honey Brook herd owned by Henry U. Stollzfus Jr. His herd averaged' 22,447 pounds of milk and 885 pounds of fat.
