Prices were sharply higher on sugar
yolk, unchanged on salt, trending higher
on whole eggs and lower on whites. Trade
sentiment was highly unsettled. Costs for
raw materials continued to trend higher.
Schedules were often reduced and most
floor stocks were carefully monitored to
assure filling previous commitments.

Tnicklot buying interest was seasonally
light and selective. Cutlets and whole
bieasts were adequate and in fairly good
balance, with the bulk of trades at
unchanged prices. Legs were adequate,
while leg quarters were in heaviest supply
of all parts. Wings continued to move well
at higher trending prices. Gizzards were
short of holiday needs.

Movement of ready to cook whole fryers
was generally fair but buyers showed no
interest in additional product Supplies
were fully adequate with some product
being offered at prices below normal pre
miums. Less than tnicklot asking prices
were unchanged to lower at 46-53 cents.
Live supplies were adequate. Average live
weights ranged desirable to heavy.
Today's processing schedules were very
light with some plants not operating. The
trade was unsettled. In the parts complex,
supplies of cutlets and whole breasts were
in balance with demand, dark meat items
were irregular and ranged adequate to ful
ly adequate, and wings were tight.

The market tone was mostly steady to
fully steady. Movement was irregular with
most areas looking for a good pull for the
upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday. Sup
plies were usually sufficient for moat
immediate needs. Breakers were selective
and for the most part worked reduced sche
dules to avoid building unwanted and high
er priced inventories.
