HERSHEY (Dauphin Co.)
Pennsylvania Fanners Association
members, which represents 22,678
farm families statewide, gathered
three days for their 39th Annual
Meeting in Hershey this week.
Hundreds of farm leaders from
across the state and voting dele
gates met at the Hershey Lodge
and Convention Center to elect
officers and set policies on farm
issues for this statewide associa
tion, PFA is voluntary farm orga
nization representing 54 county
units and is an affiliate of the
world’s largest organization of far
mers and ranchers, the 3.7 million
member American Farm Bureau
Federation.
OUTSTANDING
YOUNG FARMERS
Ralph and Crystal Moyer of
Myerstown in Berks County, won
the PFA Oustanding Young Far
mer Award. This annual award is
given in recognition of a farm cou
ple under the age of 30 whp has
demonstrated outstanding farm
management skills and leadership
abilities.
The Moyers will travel* to the
convention of the American Farm
Bureau Federation in Orlando,
