Prosit month support was tied to continued cash market firmness and active bull spreading with gains held in fheck by higher than expected interior receipts. Ideas that tomorrow's cash market would be steady to lower due to packer resistance at current levds served to temper gains. Profit-taking was also featured today with additional losses in the back months coming on active belly/hog spreading. Bellies were sharply higher on ideas that recent losses were overdone. October live hogs settled 40 higher at $47.62 after trading in a range from $47.25 to $47.80.
