D2B-Lancaster Farming Saturday, October 7,1989 Sale Reports ARNOLD ACRES SALE Arnold Acres of Lebanon held their fall herd reduction sale on Thursday evening, Sept. 28, with 37 head of dairy cattle averaging $1,394. Eleven regis tered bred heifers aver aged $1,170 which included 6 heifers due in Dec., Jan. and Feb. and five due in Oct and Nov. The average on 26 dairy cows was $1,489. The top cow of the sale was a 4-year-old, Reckers Ace at $18,050. Ace was fresh in July at 80 lbs. Monitor Frost, fresh in Sept, with 67 Ib./day, 3-year-old, brought $18,050. A 2-year-old, Steady, due in October sold for $18,050. A Jet Stream daughter, fresh in June at 95 lbs./day, sold for $18,025. A Conductor granddaughter due in Feb., at 60 lbs./day sold for $16,075. A 4-year old Bell daughter at 93 lbs./day brought $17,050. Her heifer calf by Cleitus sold for $425. A 3-year-old Skylar Chief, 80 lbs./day brought $17,050. Auctioneer was Lloy d Kreider. UTT SALE A Public Auction of real estate and farm machinery was held September 30 by Clyde F. Utt and Margaret L. Utt, R.D. 2, Kempton, Pa., Lynn Twp., North ern Lehigh County at the foot of the Blue Mts. The 128 acre farm with a 214 story stone house, bam, 3-car gar age, large wagon shed and other outbuildings plus 2 farm ponds was sold for $576,000. Hoov er, 3 miles north of Terre Hill, Brecknock Twp„ Lancaster Co., Pa. along 'Woodlyn Drive. The 75 acres was sold for $321,000 to Aden Hoover, R.D. 1, New Holland, Pa.
