Hydraulic-drive models offer
varied basket speed to ground
speed for uniform control of win
drows. When wet windrows are a
problem, the hydraulic-drive sys
tem can be reversed for gentle ted
ding or fluffing and fast drying.
All three models are designed
with formed steel channels that
distribute weight across the main
frame for positive traction and sta
bility during turns. They also fea
ture a staggered wheel position
that distributes the basket-weight
for improved flotation and stabili
ty during turns.
Basket height is adjustable with
a single crank and all models are
also equipped with a handy till
adjustment to quickly position the
basket for a variety of crop condi
tions. In addition, five raking bars

with “tooth bar scrapers” prevent
trash from accumulating.
Other options include a choice
of clevis hitch and jack or caster
wheel. For difficult or short crops,
extra teeth can be added to convert
from two teeth per position to
three per position.
The dual raking system joins
the Models 960 and 970, allowing
the operator to combine two
swaths or windrows into one win
drow to save time during haying.
It also provides consistent win
drows ideal for high-capacity
rectangular or round baling.
