American Dairy Association (ADA) received the award for the most outstanding single booth at the July 24-26 American School Food Service Association (ASFSA) conference in Orlando, Fla. In its first appearance as an ASFSA convention, ADA intro duced the 1989 school foodservice program, “Dairy is Delicious, Pass it on!” The ADA booth attracted attention through an interactive spin-the-wheel game and offered details about the new foodservice program which is designed to promote school lunches featuring dairy and other commodity foods while meeting the national guide lines for school lunch programs. ASFSA conference attendees were invited to join the in-booth game and spin the “Win, Choose or Draw” wheel. ADA was one of five ASFSA award recipients recognized for an exhibit which encouraged interac tion with conference attendees and appropriately promoted its theme. The ASFSA conference featured 1,600 booths and attendance topped 7,000. American Dairy Association is the advertising and marketing ser vices organization of United Dairy Industry Association. UDIA is a member-driven federation which coordinates a total promotion program for U.S.-produced milk and real dairy foods.
