program, with five counties in this
area contributing $2.5 million. The
southcentral portion of the state
also has committed a fair amount
of money to preservation. Berks
County was the highestcontributor
followed by Lancaster, Chester,
Bucks, and Montgomery counties.
Counties in these two regions
will receive 66 percent of the $25
million in matching funds.
