ACRES CORN UPDATE:
Com futures prices ended today’s
session from 1/2 cent lower on the
September 1990 option to 1-1/2
cents higher on the December.
Volume was thin again today as
participants awaited fresh funda
mental-news. Some buying was
linked to ideas that recent rainfall
was not fotkemal deve
lopment in parts of the western
belt with prices stalled by long liq
uidation and reports of weaker
basis levels. Support was also
linked to a brighter export out
look. September settled 3/4 of a

today’s session mostly lower as
the latest weather forecasters pre

sales were attributed to locals who
were offsetting short positions.
August closed 1 cent higher after
trading as much as 13 cents higher
on strength from the CIF market
