The herd of 43 Holsteins had a rolling herd average of 20,635 pounds of milk and 776 pounds of butterfat. Other top herds were: Rowe Brothers, #2 Honesdale, 19,352 milk and 771 fat; Gary Fielding, #5 Lake Ariel, 20,382 milk and 753 fat; Charles P. Dennis, #2 Honesdale, 19,880 milk and 728 fat; Highland Farms, St. Rt. Hones dale, 19,648 milk and 711 fat; Jack & Ella Chyle, Pleasant Mount, 20,174 milk and 703 fat; A&M Spangenberg, Star rucca, 18,709 milk and 700 fat; Dave Noble, #4 Hones dale, 20,295 milk and 693 fat; George Banicky, #2 Thomp son, 18,545 milk and 681 fat; and David Petrosky, St. Rt.
