-Donegal High School’s Wit
ness Oak FFA chapter members
this past week were hosts for the
annual Parent-Son Banquet, with
Dr. Eugene Love, subject matter
specialist of the Penn State voca
tional agriculture education
department, as principal speaker.
Dr. Love, a former vo-ag
instructor at East Donegal High
School, renewed old acquain
tances in the audience; then pre
sented an illustrated talk of his
recent two year stay in the Philip
pine Republic as a Stanford Uni
versity project staff member.
The banquet was highlighted by
the presentation of member awards
to a quartet of Witness Oak mem
bers by Advisor G. M. Miller.
Luke Brubaker, chapter presi
dent, was honored as Chapter Star
Farmer. Barry Stoner, chapter
vice-president, claimed the Pion
eer high-com-production trophy
for a 1958 crop of 136 bushels per

speaker, discussing Grange legi
slative policy on state issues.
