The Somerset County Dairy
Princess, Tanya O’Brien was on
hand to promote the number one
drink, milk. Tanya has made over
90 appearances throughout the
county within nine months.
A very strong Somerset County
Junior Holstein Club was pre
sented awards by John Will, direc
tor of junior activities. Thadd Will,
Berlin Club president, presented a
slide presentation from the state
Junior Holstein Convention. This
was the first year the state Junior
Convention was held separate
from the state senior convention.
At our junior convention many of
our Somerset County juniors were
recognized and received awards.
Distinguished Junior Senior
Boy for the State was Thadd Will
of Berlin. He will now compete at
the national contest. Distinguished
Junior Senior Girl for the State is
Jenny Welch of Berlin, a finalist.
The Junior Dairy Bowl team
from Somerset County placed
third in the state competition.
Members of the team are: Scott
and Danny Ream of Rockwood;
Natalie Welch of Berlin; Michelle
Countryman of Berlin. Team alter
nates were Jill Clites of Berlin and
Wesley Coleman of Berlin.
Senior Dairy Bowl Team were:
Thadd Will of Berlin; Jenny Welch
of Berlin; Heather and Matt Welch
of Berlin. Alternates are Scott
Clites of Berlin and Mark Ream of
Rockwood.
