Offers Membership NEW CUMBERLAND (Cum berland) For over a century, the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Associ ation and its predecessor organiza tions have developed and sup ported programs to promote and further the general welfare of the dairy industry in Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association has, since its begin nings, worked closely in coopera tion with the Dairy Herd Improve ment Association, encouraging production testing for dairy herd improvement. Early efforts of the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Associ ation led the successful drive to eliminate Tuberculosis and Brucellosis from the state’s dairy herds. Numerous other successful dairy programs with roots in the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Associ ation include the state’s Purebred Dairy Cattle Association (PDCA), the Pennsylvania Junior Dairy Show and the All-American Dairy Show, Penn State Milk Quality Control Program and Mastitis Research at Penn State and the University of Pennsylvania. Financial support and awards programs of the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association benefit the state’s Dairy Princess Prog ram, 4-H and FFA youth, educa tion and research at Penn State University, and recognize excep tional service to the industry by individuals. The featured speaker will be Dan Baker of Bulverde, Texas, a former Methodist minister. Baker travels extensively throughout America sharing the warmth, wit and wisdom of his “people philo sophy” with all types of audi ences.
