these tanks served Edwin’s herd
of 80 Holsteins, and a yield of

with a large herd of dairy cows,
but the 80 year old Edwin still
cares for several head of calves
and replacement heifers. Asked
about his advice for today’s dairy

It has been decided to continue
this spring calf sale. The sale will
be held on Thursday evening,
April 13.1989. As last year, it will
be an all breed sale. The sale will
not be a donation sale. Approxi
mately 10% will be assessed the
consignor. The sale is not meant to
be a money making project and if
there is money left over after the
expenses have been paid, it will be
returned to the consignors. The
committee is looking for calves
that can be used by the area youth
as show projects; but may also
accept additional animals. If you
