This is to let you know that Lancaster Leaf Tobacco Company is supporting you
and trying to give you some advance notice regarding the 1989 growing season.
We feel that, based on the fact that all old tobacco from previous years has been
purchased and that manufacturers' inventories are at a very low level, the forth
coming 1989 growing season will be an excellent time to raise Pennsylvania Type
41 tobacco. It is our belief that, due to the low inventory levels and the fact that
there are no cushions from previous years, the 1989 growing season will
a very strong market situation for Type 41 tobacco.
Raising more tobacco will not cause prices to go down because of
levels of manufacturers' inventories. The Type 41 tobacco should be a good invest
ment for the Pennsylvania farmer in the 1989 growing season.
We appreciate all the support the Pennsylvania tobacco farmers have given us
over the years, and we would like to return that cooperation by informing the
Pennsylvania tobacco farmers of the current situation.
If we can be of any help in the coming year, please don't hesitate to contact us
(717-394-2676).
