York Auction Business Opens Doors
BY JOYCE BUPP
York Co. Correspondent
NEW PARK (York) A new
auction business opened its doors
here on January 2, to serve the
farming community of York
County and the surrounding areas.
Isennock Auction Services,
Inc., has purchased the livestock
handling and auction ring facili
ties of the former York County
Livestock Sales Ltd. The firm is
continuing the tradition of Mon
day evening sales, which has ear
marked the auction’s operations
for many years.
Isennock Auction Services,
Inc., is owned by Robert and Cin
dy Isennock, who make their
home in the Madonna area of
White Hall, Maryland. Their firm
offers a variety of auctioneering
services, and has become known
for its work with antiques, espe
cially the popular Hummel
collectibles.
“Bob has been an auctioneer for
25 years,” says his wife Cindy,
“and has been around livestock
and farmers most of his life.”
Isennock, the youngest of 11
children, grew up in a dairying
family; and his parents have oper
ated two dairy farms in Maryland.

estate broker, recently became an
auctioneer as well. The couple is

‘This was an opportunity that
came along,” Cindy says of the
acquisition of the New Park live
stock sales business. “The com
munity needs this auction, and
we’re here to serve the people of
the area and to try to do a good job
for them. And, our Maryland
office is just ten miles away, so we
can keep close touch on this.”
“We want to see farmers get a
‘fair shake’ at the maiket,” she
emphasizes.
Future plans for the New Park
facility include a monthly horse
sale and possible Saturday auc
tions of such commodities as hay,
straw and wood. The addition of
