    DENVER America’s newest
superstation, RFD-TV, will
broadcast programs on the Ameri
can Sheep Industry Convention at
2:05 p.m. (CST), Jan. 20 and 23.
In addition, a rebroadcast of con
vention highlights will fctegin at
1:05 p.m. (CST), Jan. 28 and con
tinue for several hours.
RFD-TV broadcasts on
Spacenet 1, Channel 23 (Sl/23)
and its signal is rebroadcast by a
number of low power TV stations
across the country.
The sheep industry convention
programs will feature speakers,
interviews and special events
taped the previous week at the
U.S. sheep industry’s premier
event The program will focus on
industry issues such as lamb
marketing, wool marketing, man
agement, economics and finance.
The “Make It Yourself With
Wool” fashion show featuring
contestants from 47 states will
also be part of the broadcast

Gottsch, RFD-TV chairman, in
announcing the special series. He
emphasized that RFD-TV is com
mitted to meeting those needs.
Omaha based RFD-TV began
operating in August 1988 and
broadcasts 24-hours per day.
Programming is targeted to
viewers interested in agricultural
production and marketing. The
signal is not scrambled, thus mak
ing it available free of charge to all
satellite receivers in North Ameri
ca, 70 percent of which are in rural
areas.
Rodger Wasson, executive
director of the American Sheep
Producers Council says informa
tion is a key to success in every
industry. The U.S. sheep industry,
which is growing after years of
decline is no exception. In many
areas producers have difficulty
obtaining current information on
sheep production and marketing.
