THE ONLY QUESTION WE HAVE THIS WEEK IS
WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR A VALUABLE PRICE
INCREASE ON YOUR TOBACCO THIS YEAR?
Was it the buyers?
Or was it the auction?
-It was actually those farmers that did not sign con
tracts for $1.25 per pound—because they depended
on the tobacco auction to market their tobacco!
Regardless of what anyone tells you there is tremend
ous demand for this year’s tobacco crop. If a buyer tells
you the price of tobacco will fall after New Years, ask him
why he doesn’t wait ’til then to buy it!! It was these pres
sure tactics that pushed many of you to SIGN
CONTRACTS!
HOWEVER, WE ARE HAPPY TO SEE THAT ALL FAR
MERS WILL BENEFIT FROM ACTION THAT
OCCURRED AT THE AUCTION!
We just hope that we can maintain enough support from
farmers that see what we are doing for them, to survive to
2° our J ob for y° u next year and the one after that. IT IS
IMPORTANT FOR YOUR FUTURE THAT WE STAY!
We will be receiving tobacco every day from Dec. 27 to
Dec. 30 for a gigantic sale to be held on Jan. 2 at 9:30 a.m.
Our warehouse Is now half filled. Please let’s fill it on the
days right after Christmas.
We are now dealers of 3 compartment
bale boxes, tobacco seed, and
cotton baling twine.
