A22-Lancastf Farming, Saturday, December 10,1988 Wayne Countians To Discuss Ag Area Security Act HONESDALE (Wayne) The Wayne County Cooperative Extension has scheduled a meet ing for December 15 at 8:00 p.m. in the Wayne County Extension meeting room, basement of the court house. Topic to be discussed is the Agricultural Area Security Act. The speaker will be Stanford Lcmbcck, a land-use specialist from Penn State University. Lem bcck has considerable knowledge and experience in assisting land owners and the local government to establish Agricultural Security Areas. The Agricultural Area Security Act (Act 43 of 1981) is a tool for strengthening Pennsylvania agri cultural by encouraging farm landowners to form local “Agri cultural Areas.” By participating in an agricultural area farmers would work together to help con serve and improve agricultural land for agricultural production.
