Frozen Eggs
October 25, 1988
Prices were generally unchanged.
Demand was slightly improved and
mixed. The best interest was for
whole eggs, and both sugar and salt
yolks were a bit difficult to move.
Floor stocks were adequate. Raw
material costs were generally
unchanged with some sellers holding
shell eggs with a bit more confidence.

Chicken Parts
October 26, 1988
Buying interest remained light to fair
and generally selective. Cutlets were irre
gularly available and in slightly better
balance; however, the bulk of new busi
ness was at lower price levels. Whole
breasts, mainly line run, were discounted
in a few instances, but the bulk of product
was m fairly good balance at unchanged
prices. Legs were moving into better
balance, mainly due to a good call for leg
quarters, which were no more than adequ
ate. Some spot pricing reported on leg
quarters for neat week’s delivery at 29
cents and some with caps of 30 cents for
large volumes. Wings continued to build in
availability and overall movement had
slowed.
