was light to fair overall. Supplies were no
more than adequate on the 2 1/4 lb. sizes,
ample on heavier sizes. In the parts com
plex whole breast were in good to tight
balance. The remaining items were gener
ally fully adequate. Lest than tnicklot ask
ing prices were unchanged at *56 to 68*
cents; however, sharp discounts were noted
on some 3 lb. and over sizes. Live supplies
were moderate.' Weights ranged light to
heavy, mostly heavy. Slaughter schedules
were moderately heavy. The undertone was
steady overall

Buying interest was generally light and
unaggrestive on all items except whole
breasts which remained short.
Cutlets were fully adequate it 2.35 md
spot trading in half and full loads were
noted at 225 and 230 for prompt ship
ment; however, demand was improving as
some interest shifted from whole breasts to
cutlets. Legs, leg quarters and wings
increased in availability and were often
slow in clearing. Giblets were fully adequ
ate to ample at current price levels.

Prices trended lower in the Midwest,
unchanged elsewhere. The market tone was
cautiously steady to weak. Demand for
loose and cartoned eggs was light to mod
erate. Inter-dealer inquiry for heavy
ungraded eggs increased due in part to addi
tional export demand. Supplies of heavy
eggs were adequate to ample and mediums
were generally adequate. Breakers
remained unaggressive. Live supplies of
spent hens were limited under a steady to
fully steady trade sentiment
