Angus Ribbons Stay
In State At Ohio State Fair
COLUMBUS, OH All of the
division ribbons as well as the
grand and reserve grand champion
ribbons stayed in the state at the
Angus Show held during the 1988
Ohio State Fair. The 81 Angus
bulls and heifers paraded at the
show were placed by judge Dr.
Erskine Cash of State College,
Penn.
Summitcrest Farms, of Summit
ville, showed the grand champion
bull. Summitcrest Franklin, a
January 1987 son of Harrison, ear
lier stood as the junior champion.
Way View Tar Baby walked
away with the reserve grand
champion bull rosette for Way
View Farms Inc. of Hebron. Judge
Cash also awarded this April 1986,
J K Pine Tar son the senior champ
ion title.
Grand champion female laurels
went to H F Duchess 704, the
junior winner. This January 1987
daughter of R O R Royalty 108 T
was shown by Masterfare, of
Johnstown.
Kiata Farms Inc., of Hanilton
led their reserve junior champion,
H F Blackbird 717 to the reserve
grand champion female spot She
was bom April 1987 and was sired
by R O R Royalty 108 T.
In the get-of-sire class. Master
fare and Kiata Farms Inc. put
together progeny sired by R O R
Royalty 108 T and won first place
honors. The two exhibitors then
lined up a trio of calves sired by
Broadway and won the junior get
division. Highlands Angus Farm,
of Mount Sterling exhibited the
best six head.
The reserve senior champion
bull was Highlands Ohio Buckeye,
and he was displayed by Highlands
Angus Farm.
Greenbrier Angus, of Orient
showed the reserve junior champ

Summitvllle. A total of 81 Angus were exhibited.
H F Duchess 704 stood as the grand champion Angus
female for Masterfare of Johnstown at the 1988 Ohio State

dates introduced at a buffet break
fast here October 1, announced

The breakfast, scheduled for
9:30 a.m., will be held at Shadow
