(Quality Reigns At Central Championship BY BETSY YODER Huntingdon Co. Correspondent HUNTINGDON A well attended Central Championship Show capped off the events for the week long Huntingdon Fair. Many top quality Holsteins were brought before judge Neil Bowen from Wellsboro for his approval. Two Bedford County dairymen received Bowen’s approval many times and were named premier breeder and exhibitor. Alienor Holstein Farms won the banner for premier breeder. The Charles Bak er family are the operators. The premier exhibitor banner was won by the Obie Snider family of Sing ing Brook Farms. Garnering the grand champion spotlight was Amoore Ultimate Kathy. She is a three-year-old daughter of Quality Ultimate. Art Moore is the proud owner of this stylish young cow who also had the best udder in her class. Stepping into reserve was Burk et Falls Farm with a four-year-old. She is a red daughter of Arlinda CAR Dairyman and she also had the best udder in her age class. In the junior division, Keith Kennedy had the grand champion. She is a senior two-year-old daughter of Hilltopper Elevation Warden. A four-year-old Valiant daught er was reserve grand champion. She was shown by Eric Stine. Alienor Holstein Farms had the junior champion with a tall, upstanding senior yearling. She is a Roybrook Tempo and has been named junior champion at several other shows as well. An intermediate calf exhibited by Globe Run Farm was reserve junior champion. She is a Straight Pine Elevation Pete daughter. A growthy red heifer owned by Michael Burket was named junior champion in the junior division. She is a daughter of Hi-De-Ho Sunset Kid-Red and topped the junior yearling class. John A. Foster 111 had reserve junior champion with his interme diate yearling heifer.
