For the past 30 years, this award has recognized youth who excel in managing and breed ing their Jerseys, actively partici pate in breed functions, and show exceptional leadership skills. To be eligible for the contest, juniors must own one or more registered Jerseys and be at least nine but not older than 19 years of age. Juniors are nominated by their state Jersey organization. Those juniors who placed second through tenth in the previous years and who are still eligible by age may also be entered.
