KUTZTOWN (Berks) The
ivUtzlown Fair moved to Septem
ber from its mid-August date of
previous years and with that move
some noticeable changes took
place.
What was formcrlly one of the
biggest dairy shows of the fair sea
son dropped drastically in its num
ber of entries due to its new time
slot. Parents refused to let children
compete on the same day schol
started or in some cases the even-

The swine carcass and breeding
swine shows were held Tuesday.
Ron Miller, manager of Wye
Farms of Berks County was the
swine judge. Miller is also a gradu
ate of Penn Slate University where
he was a member of the livestock
and meat judging teams.
In the lightweight carcass class
Val Hunter look first, Christina
Hunter, second and in third place
was Greg Stricklcr. First place in
the middleweight class was Leon
