manded an encore in the Milking
Shorthorn show. Monica had
grand champion and Matthew had
junior champion. Mark captured
both reserve grand and junior.
Open Holstein Show
Friday’s show featured the best
area Holstein breeders had to offer.
The coveted titles of premier
breeder and exhibitor were hard
sought after by two families. Peo
ple that are no strangers to the win
ners circles and have won these
banners many times before.
Premier Breeder banner was
awarded to Alienor Holstein
Farms of Bedford. J. Allen Baker
and his family are the operators of
this farm which consistently turns
out winners. They also tied with
Globe Run Farms for the Premier
Exhibitor honor. Globe Run,
Petersburg is under the control of
the John Foster family.
Burket-Falls of East Freedom
however had grand champion with
a stylish, red, 4 year old. Alienor
Holsteins had reserve with a senior
2 year old sired by C Hanoverhill
Chaplin-ET.
Alienor also had junior champ
ion with a senior yearling sired by
Roybrook Tempo.
Bob Norris, employee of the
Foster family had reserve junior
champion with an Elevation Pete
daughter.
Bob Kauffman was the judge for
the day’s event Obie Snyder was
the judge for the FFA and 4-H
shows.

The Foster family of Globe Run Farms, Petersburg,
shared the title of premier exhibitor with Alienor Farms. The
Foster family Includes Alice and Samantha; John Jr. and
Charann; Annabelle and John; John 111 holding Petunia and
Anissa Kensinger.
