Kuhn Introduces Twin-
Disc Fertilizer Spreaders
VERNON, N.Y. Five new
heavy-duty, high-speed twin-disc
fertilizer spreaders, featuring hop
per capacities ranging from 828 to
2,405 pounds, are now available
from Kuhn Farm Machinery Inc.
The new Kuhn comet ZSN
series fertilizer spreaders have
been designed and engineered for
operator ease and efficiency. The
units’ low height and wide hopper
opening combine to make filling a
quick and easy task. And the
single, undivided hopper can be
removed easily for convenient
cleaning.
In addition to ease of operation,
the ZSN fertilizer spreaders also
are economical to run and main
tain. A slow rotating central agita
tor that turns approximately five
times slower than the discs pre
vents fertilizer from being ground
into powder. Accurate, even
spreading is ensured by the single,
undivided hopper and high-speed
twin discs. And a single shut-off
lever allows controlled spreading
to either right or left side, as
desired.
Built to meet the demands of
rugged terrain, each Comet ZSN
fertilizer spreader is constructed
with stainless steel blades and out
let shutters for greater durability
In addition, the units combine a
cast-iron gearbox with hardened
bevel gearwheels to reduce main
tenance and ensure a longer ser
vice life.

With a working width of 32 to
