Take Lebanon Fair Open
Holstein Show Honors

LEBANON Dale-Pride Buff
Sadie was named grand champion
of the Lebanon Area Fair Open
Holstein Show on Friday, August
5. The Dale-Pride Farms were also
awarded the premier breeder and
premier exhibitor banners. This
year’s show hosted approximately
200 entries.
Show judge, Genie Lorenzo
Francisco praised Sadie, a power
ful 3-ycar-old owned by Alan Hos
tetler of Annville as being very
symmetrical with an .excellent
mammary system. Francisco
added that she found it difficult to
find fault with the animal.
It was Ju-Vindale Holsteins
Mars Tony Iris which took the
reserve grand champion title of the
show Although she took the sec
ond spot in the show she was
named the best uddered cow in the
3-ycar-old class ahead of the grand
champion, Sadie, which was
named second best udder. Owned
by Ju-Vindale Holsteins of Myer
slown the breeders were Vincent
and Julie Wagner. The dam was
Ju-Vindale’s Molly Chief Ivy and
sire was Marshfield Elevation
Tony.
The Bomgardncr family had a
great day showing and winning
and it was Jesse, the number one
entry of the show who started the
winning streak by capturing the
grand champion bull calf title with
Loving-Meadows Kristopher,
siren by Browndale Concord-ET.
Nelson Bomgardner took the
reserve champion title with
Loving-Meadows Mr. Mark.
Kevin J. Bomgardncr of Ono
exhibited the show’s junior
champion. Judge Francisco was
impressed with the si/e and
strength of this strong and power
ful heifer and especially admired
the correct way the animal tracked
on her hind legs. This senior year
ling, Loving-Meadows Rowcna,
was sired by Hanovcrhill
Connsclol-ET and the dam was
. .mg-Mcadows Rama-Twin.
Breeder was John Bomgardncr of
Ono
Reserve junior champion went
lo the senior heifer calf, Loving-
Meadows Manda, owned by Nel
son Bomgardner of Ono. Sire was
Willowholmc Mark Anthony and
the dam was Loving-Meadows
Megan.

the premier breeder and exhibitor banners.
The Bomgardners returned to the winners circle. Kevin
(right) took the junior champion title with the Loving-
Meadows Rowena his senior yearling heifer and Nelson
took the reserve spot with Loving-Meadows Manda. Angie
Hoover, Lebanon County Dairy Princess and judge Genie
Lorenzo Francisco made the presentation.
