Thompson Takes Potter Fair All-Breed Champion COUDERSPORT (Potter) Jim-Slocums Triple Charo, a four year old Holstein, shown by Donald Thompson, Westfield, took the All Breed Champion Award at the Open Dairy Show, Thursday, August 4, at the Potter County Fair. She was also named Senior Champion Holstein, and took first place in the best udder class as well. Headwaters Produc tion Credit presented a silver tray to Don as all breed champion. Don also was named to receive the Pre mier Exhibitor Award while Alle gan Farms, Genesee, received the Premier Breeder Award. Snyder Farms, Westfield, took second place in premier breeder, while Baileyview Farm, Ulysses, came in a close second in the Premier Exhibitor competition. One hundred eighteen dairy animals and 28 beef were shown. Other Holstein winners included Jesse Erway, Couders port, whose senior heifer calf, Bet sy Inspirate Bcrtha-Red-ET took junior champion female, while the reserve champion Highlander Enhancer Misty, came from Com stock Farm, Port Allegany RD. Comstock Farms took the junior get of sire award for three animals under two years old, all by the same sire. Ansdale Farm, Ulysses, took first place for dry cow four years and under with Royale Josh Crown Eliza. The Junior two-year-old class was won by Ken Smoker of Allegen Farms with Allegen Tony Darla. Donald Thompson look first place in the senior two year old class with Snyder Wiseman Star Sally. First place in three year-old went to Bailey View Farm with Lock-Bar Ultimate Hann. The champion in the 4-year-old class was the grand champion, Don Thompson’s Jim-Slocums Triple Charo. Leo Tice look first place in the six years and over class with F&F Lucky Creek Candy. The reserve grand champion female and reserve senior champ ion female was Allegen Farms Allegen Chairman Colene. In the beef show, which pre ceded the dairy show, the first place grand champion heavy weight, 901 lbs. and over, was shown by Brad Green, Shingle house. It was a Limousin named Mr. Majestic. Champion bull calf was shown by Janet Matthews and was a Polled Hereford named Bull. Judy Erway, Genesee, showed the reserve champion bull calf and took a blue ribbon. In the junior heifer calf class first place went to Stephanie Carpenter with SAC Pandora, a purebred simmental, followed by Mark D. Meslcr with Topsee, a Hereford.
