on her family’s farm where she
helps with the milking of their 63
head of Registered Holstcins.
Deborah relates that her chores
extend from milking, to feeding
calves, to whatever needs to be
done. During the question and
answer period for contestants,
Deborah noted that one of the val
ues she has learned growing up on
a dairy farm is that hard work nev
er hurt anyone.
Deborah will be a senior at the
Gettysburg High School this fall.
She is involved with the Chesa
peake Bay Independent Research
Team at school and plans to pursue
a degree in accounting.
