The evening prog ram featured a video presentation on John Deere Days. Awards were presented to mem bers by 4-H club leaders Fran and Dale Bushong, Ivan Hanson, and John Balmcr. The 1988 Outstand ing Club Members were Terry Nagle, Jason Krall, Daryl Wamp ler, and Scott Grubb. Members receiving recognition for their edu cational demonstrations included Tom Hostetler, Jason Krall, Michelle Bushong, and Stephanie Nagle. Members with the highest scores on the farm safely test were Terry Nagle, Steve Bollinger, Wayne Hcagy, Daryl Wampler, and Dan Shirk. Winners of the club tractor-driving contest were Kevin SEllcrs, Wayne Hcagy, Daryl Wampler, and Scott Grubb. Adams County Beef m «v JPPP*- 1987 4-H Beef Club member Stan Reever of East Berlin was presented a trophy and a plaque for being the outstand ing first-year member. Presenting the award was leader Charles Sherman. Lebanon County Sheep The Lebanon County 4-H Sheep Club recently met at the home of Krista Hetrick. The meeting was called to order at 7 -30 p.m. by pres ident Krista Hednek. The special guests for the meeting were Dr. Sue Harper and members of the Goat Club. Dr Harper discussed the life cycle of parasites and how Microwave Cooking Workshop WEST CHESTER Basic Microwave Cooking classes will be taught by the Chester County Cooperative Extension of The Pennsylvania State University. The course will include basic cooking principles, actual meal preparation, and converting favo rite family recipes for use in the microwave oven. Ken Winebark, county agent, brought the meeting to order. Eight new members were present. Barb Grumbinc discussed donating baked goods and labor at the Heifer Sale. All proceeds will go to the construction of a show and sale bam at the Lebanon Area Fairgrounds. The new officers arc Daryl Grumbine, president; Kelly Bach man, vice president; Leigh Hitz, secretary; John Risscr, news repor ter. An officers training session will be held on April 21. Bucks County On April 27 and 28, 300 elementary school students from Bcnsalcm, Bristol Township, and Ncshammy School Districts will lake an educational field trip to Snipe’s Farm and Nursery in Mor nsvillc.
