BIM Lancaster Society of Farm Women #1 recently met at the home of Hazel Tomb with Rachael Bollinger act ing as co-hostess. Roll call was answered by 20 members. Delegates to the State Convention, Peg Sensenig and Lancaster Members of Society #8 met at Patsy Warfel’s home on February 20. Gladys Ney gave a detailed report of the State Convention to Lancaster Society of Farm Women #26 met on February 27 at the Country Table for a Valentine dinner with their husbands. Entertainment for Lancaster i Society #34 members met recently at the Dutch Apple Thea ter. Eight members plus husbands and friends enjoyed the evening’s festivities. The next meeting is set for March 21 at Earl and Ruth Ranken’s home. Sue Rutt will be hostess with Carol Groff acting as co-hostess. Orders for the sub sale are to be turned in. Society 26 the night was provided by the Bob Kettering family. A short business meeting followed. Society 34 month is “There’s something to love in every day.” Perry Coun NEW BLOOMFIELD—Angie Kling, the 19 year old daughter of V. Art and Sandy Kling, was crowned Perry County’s 1988, Dairy Princess on February 19. John Harris, the Perry County Extension Agent, served as emcee for the coronation. Angie enter tained the audience with her milk promotional skit “A trip to Tim buctu”. Following the country music entertaining duo of Chuck McGarvey and Ellis Kuhn, the 1986-87 Perry County Dairy Prin cess gave her farewell speech. Fran Palm was Perry County Proud as spoke of fond memories from her reign. Angie is a junior attending West Perry Senior High School where she is active in marching, concert, and jazz band, field hockey, year book, drama club, school play, and varsity club. Aside from Angie’s hectic school calendar, she finds time to help her mother with the family business paper work and occasion ally helps her father care for the calves. After high school Angie plans to attend college to pursue a nursing degree. Co-chairpersons for the dairy princess committee are Beth Anne Rice and Patti McLaughlin. Berks Society 3 The Society of Farm Women #3 held its February meeting at Dora Pollock’s home in Boyertown. Donations were given to the American Heart Association and the March of Dimes. Plans for attending the annual Spring Rally in Altoona were discussed. Mary Bartholomew, president, led the group in exercises and distributed literature from the American Heart Association. The next meeting will be on reflexology at Sonya Moyer’s home in Boyerstown. Members arc asked to wear green and bring something green in a paper bag to exchange.
