Southern States Cooperative Holds Annual Membership Meeting RICHMOND. V A—Roland L. Blum and Richard L. Hahn of Taney town were elected to the loc al Board of Directors at the South ern States Annual Membership Meeting of Southern States Taney town Cooperative, Inc. held in Taney town, Md., on* March 1, Atlantic Locals To Meet SOUTHAMPTON Atlantic Dairy Cooperative District 38 will hold two dinner meetings to elect officers and to establish producer locals within the district, accord ing to Director Lawrence Spadine. The first meeting is scheduled for March 16 at 12 p.m. at the Bel mont Quarters Fire Hall in Pleas ant Mount. The meeting is open for members from the eastern Susque hanna, eastern Lackawanna and Wayne counties area. The second meeting will be held March 17 at 12 p.m. at the Spring ville United Methodist Church in Springville. Members from Wyoming. Luzerne, western Lack awanna and western Susquehanna counties and New York are invited to attend. Daniel L. Martin, vice president of Atlantic’s board of directors, will be the guest speaker at both meetings. Mrs. Vonny Dickinson of Taney town was chosen chairman of the Farm Home Advisory Committee while Mrs. Rhoda Weant of Taneylown was named secretary. Mr. Larry E. Moore of West minster, Md., a member of South ern Stales Cooperative’s regional staff, reported on the over-all Southern States operations. He reported that total volume for their operation for the past year was about $2,356,228. His report included the use of a number of color slides showing the facilities and services as well as patrons’ farming operations.
