Kevin Burleigh, Pleasant Mount had the leading dairy
herd in the Wayne County Dairy Herd Improvement Asso
ciation in the November test period, according to the
Cooperative Extension Service. The herd of 44 Holsteins
had a rolling herd average of 20,784 pounds of milk and
754 pounds of butterfat.
Other top herds were- Jack & Ella Chyle, Pleasant
Mount. 21,328 milk and 753 fat; Charles P. Dennis, #2 Hon
esdale, 20,001 milk and 735 fat; James Slocum, Susque
hanna, 18,365 milk and 695 fat; Frank Marks, #1 Damas
cus, 18,925 milk and 686 fat; Kmghill Farm, Starrucca,
17,664 milk and 682 fat; Highland Farm, St. Rt Honesdale,
19,725 milk and 681 fat; Robert Fielding & Son, R.D. #5
Lake Ariel, 17,855 milk and 674 fat, Rowe Brothers, #2
Honesdale, 18,254 milk and 671 fat; John Worobey,
Thompson. 17,459 milk and 666 fat.

less during the November test period was an eight year old
Holstein owned by Jack & Ella Chyle, Pleasant Mount
"Angel” produced 28,257 pounds of milk and 1005 pounds
of butterfat.
