During a four-year period, Kay’s projects include dairy heifers and breeding and market swine. She was a member of committees such as SOE, earning and savings, leadership, BOAC, and chapter sales. Kay placed fifth in the state conserva tion public-speaking contest and sixth in the state prepared public-speaking contest. She has been awarded Chapter Star Farmer, Chapter Star Agribusinessman, and Greenhand and Chapter Farmer degrees. Kay belongs to the Hain’s Youth Group and C.W. Senior Concert and Marching Band.
