Brian Cooley
A three-year member

chapter, Brian Cooley
has earned the Green
hand and Chapter Farmer
degrees as well as the
chapter’s citric award.
He is the 18-year-old
son of Linda Cooley of
East Berlin (Adams) and
has been involved in the
banquet. Food For America, cider sales,
and fund raising committees.
Brian is interested in hunting, Ashing,
softball, and cycling. In the future, he
would like to attend a school to become a
diesel mechanic.

Stacy, 18, the daughter of Robert and
Shelva Coulter of Washington (Wash
ington), raised market and breeding hogs
as her projects for which she recieved
a swine production award.
A treasurer and secretary for her 4-H
club, Stacy plans to go to school after
high school to become a veterinarian’s
assistant.
James G. Cowley
A four-year member of the Le Boeuf
FFA chapter, James Cowley is the
17-year-old son of Charles and Ruth Cow
ley of Waterford (Erie). He has had pro
jects in beef finishing and swine marketing
and earned the Greenhand and Chapter
Farmer degrees.
James has received a proficiency award
for beef finishing and been sentinel of his
chapter. He enjoys skiing and snowmobil
ing and hopes to attend a technical school
after graduation.

Jeff, ihe 18-year-old son of Charles and
Elaine Craig of Nottingham (Lancaster),
has worked on the service, leadership, and
Careers Day committees. His projects
were beef production, dairy herd, swine,
com,- and hay. The contests that he
competed in arc meats on the county, state,
and national levels; dairy on the state and
national levels; livestock on the state level;
and parliamentary procedures.
Music and hunting are Jeffs hobbies.
After high school he plans to attend
college to study agribusiness and then
return to the family farm.
Sam E. Creveling
The 19-year-old son of
Mr. and Mrs. Curtis
Creveling of Stillwater
(Columbia), Sam has
been a member of the
Benton FFA chapter for
four years.
During the first two
years of his membership,
Sam was involved in
swine breeding and
finishing. After that his projects included
beef finishing and work experience on a
Christmas tree farm.
Howard Dashem
Eighleen-year-old
Howard Dashem was
president of Penns
Valley FFA chapter
during 1986-87. He also
has served as chapter
reporter. He has earned
the Greenhand, Chapter
Farmer, and County
Farmer degrees and

During his four years in FFA, Howard
has completed the following projects;
dairy herd, beef breeding, hay, wheat,
com, and oats. In his sparelime, Howard
enjoys hunting and four-wheeling.
Howard plans to continue farming with
his parents Mr. and Mrs. John W. Dashcm
Jr. of Centre Hall (Centre).
Bernadette Davis, 17,
of Dysart (Cambria), is
currently serving her
second term as president
of the Admiral Peary
A.V.T.S. FFA chapter.
The daughter of Jerry HKf,
and Janet Davis, she has
raised beef cattle, dairy wmKe/j>
calves, feeder lambs, and
ficld com. Among the
committees she has been on are annual
awards banquet, annual citrus sale, fire
school, membership, and the Farm Show
booth.
Bernadette has participated in livestock
and meats judging and has attended
leadership conferences at the regional,
state, and national levels.
She has been named Star Greenhand,
Chapter Farmer, Grand Champion Filter,
and Grand Champion Showman. She also
has received awards for beef proficiency
and top salesperson for citrus sales.
Horseback riding, roller skating, vol
leyball, and leisure reading arc Berna
dette’s hobbies. She plans to use her skills
and knowledge as a farm manager.
