Cowley A four-year member of the Le Boeuf FFA chapter, James Cowley is the 17-year-old son of Charles and Ruth Cow ley of Waterford (Erie). He has had pro jects in beef finishing and swine marketing and earned the Greenhand and Chapter Farmer degrees. James has received a proficiency award for beef finishing and been sentinel of his chapter. He enjoys skiing and snowmobil ing and hopes to attend a technical school after graduation. The contests that he competed in arc meats on the county, state, and national levels; dairy on the state and national levels; livestock on the state level; and parliamentary procedures. Music and hunting are Jeffs hobbies. After high school he plans to attend college to study agribusiness and then return to the family farm. Sam E. During the first two years of his membership, Sam was involved in swine breeding and finishing. After that his projects included beef finishing and work experience on a Christmas tree farm. Howard Dashem Eighleen-year-old Howard Dashem was president of Penns Valley FFA chapter during 1986-87. He also has served as chapter reporter. Among the committees she has been on are annual awards banquet, annual citrus sale, fire school, membership, and the Farm Show booth. Bernadette has participated in livestock and meats judging and has attended leadership conferences at the regional, state, and national levels. She has been named Star Greenhand, Chapter Farmer, Grand Champion Filter, and Grand Champion Showman. She also has received awards for beef proficiency and top salesperson for citrus sales.
