WE WISH YOU A HAPPY NEW YEAR &
A MERRY TOBACCO CHECK
Keep on doing a good job grading and making 3 grades plus an
outgrade. First priority is to grade your tobacco according to col
or. However, a rule of thumb is; to take 3 or 4 leaves for bottoms;
leave 4 or 5 leaves for tips; rest goes to your middle grade. Keep
your bottom grade FREE OF OUTGRADE and then it will bring
top market price.
If you think all other farmers are the ones that are going to sup
port the auction and it’s OK for you to sell private, IS THIS FAIR?
Remember, auction is the one that has already moved market
price up! We are still optimistic from what we hear. DONT SELL
TOO QUICKLY! REMEMBER, IF EVERYONE WOULD SIGN A
CONTRACT WE CAN DO NOTHING FOR YOU TO RAISE MARK
ET PRICE!
NEXT SALES

RECEIVING Tobacco Monday, Dec. 28 to Thursday, Dec. 31
from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please don’t all wait until sale day
for delivery. We expect company people to visit our warehouse
New Year’s week; therefore, a floor full of good tobacco several
days before sale is VERY IMPORTANT!
