R. Zachary Bryant, Star Route,
Honesdale, is a 3 year4-H member
of the Calkins 4-H Agricultural
Club. He has had 3 years of 4-H
dairy project work and has com
pleted 4-H projects in vegetable
gardening, market hogs, and pota
to production. In his 4-H club, he
has held the offices of Flag Leader
and Game Leader. Zack has been a
Junior member of the Holstein
Association for 3 years and owns 4
head of registered Holsteins, 1 of
which is milking. He has been
active in local 4-H dairy and lives
tock judging contests. He placed
first in the Junior Division of 4-H
Livestock Judging at the 1986
Wayne County Fair. Zack has also
received a 4-H Blue Form award.
He currently is a sth grade student
at the Damascus Middle School.
Zack is the son of William and
Debra Bryant.
Carolyn Weist, 302 Tyron
Street, Honesdale, is a 4 year 4-H
member in the Laurella 4-H Com
munity Club. She has had 4 years
of 4-H dairy project work. She has
been a Junior member of the Hols
tein Association for 3 years and

awards, with an entry for a lacta
tion beginning at 2 years, 1 month,
30S days in milk, 20,280 pounds of
milk, 3.5 percent test, and 709
pounds fat.
Jcnelle Boyer’s entry took both
awards in the three-year-old divi
sion, with a lactation at *3-0,
305-days, 21,950 milk, 3.5 percent
test, and 773 fat Four-year-old
category winner was Tim Warner,
with a lactation at 4-11, 305-days,
23,691 milk, 3.8 percent test 897
fat
Milk and fat awards in the five
year-old class woe split Dana
Doll claimed the high milk produc
tion honors with a lactation entry
beginning at 5-2,305-days, 26,583

including the Refreshment Booth
at the Annual Calf and Heifer Sale,
and has also exhibited her project
animals at the Wayne County Fair
and the Greene-Dreher-Sterling
Fair dairy shows. Carolyn is cur
rently a Wayne County Dairy
Maid. She also received the 1987
Wayne County Outstanding 4-H
Girl Award. Carolyn is a junior at
Honesdale High School where she
participates in track and field,
cross-country, softball, school
band, and she is also an Honor Stu
dent. She is the daughter of
Andrew and Donna Weist.
Tim Rutledge, R.R. 1, Equi
nunk, is a 9 year 4-H member of
the Tri-Gal 4-H Club where he has
held the offices of Treasurer, Vice-
President, and President He has
had 9 years of 4-H dairy project

York County at 4-H state competi
tion earned recognition as well.

er, Rich Bupp and Tim Warner.
Additional awards were pre
sented to members who exhibited
the breed champions during the
annual 4-H Dairy Roundup.
Champion exhibitors were: C.E.
Hubbard, Holstein; Kimberly
McCleary, Jersey and. Brown
Swiss; and Kelly Morris, Guern
sey. Showmanship and fitting
champions named were C.E. Hub
bard, senior division, Jenelle Boy
er, intermediate, and Brad Walker,
junior.
