Breeders Awards
The Wayne County Holstein
Club held its annual dinner meet
ing recently at the Belmont Cor
ners Fire Hall with over 100 Hols
tein breeders and their families in
attendance.
Awards to the Junior members
of the county club were the high
light of the evening. They included
awards to the 4-H dairy judging
teams. Team members are; Adam
and Paul Kennedy, Jr., Honcsdale;
Andy Weist, Jr., Honesdale; Dave
Jonas, Pleasant Mount; Carrie
Bryant, Honesdale; Cliff Jones,
Waymart; Grant Stiles, Jr., Lake
Ariel; and Willie Reinfurt,
Honesdale.

having entries in the county-wide

Carly Soden, R.D. 1, Starrucca,
is a 5 year 4-H member in the Wil
derness Starcrafters 4-H Club. She
has had 5 years of 4-H dairy pro
ject work and has also completed
projects in cooking, sewing, and
pet care. She has held the 4-H club
offices of Secretary, Treasurer,
and President in her local club.
Carly has been a Junior Member of
the Holstein Association for 4
years and currently owns 6 head of
registered Holstein cattle, two of
which are milking. Carly has
received showmanship and fitting
awards at the Wayne County
Junior Dairy Shows has been an
exhibitor at the Northeastern Pen
nsylvania District 4-H Dairy
Show. She has also been a 4-H
Blue Form award winner. Carly is
a 9th grade student at the Susque
hanna Community High School.
She is the daughter of David and
Peggy Soden.
