They have uncovered a very colorful history of their farm, which was patented sometime before 1760 by their ancestor William WinnetL Mr. Winnett was apparently kidnapped in England and brought to the American colonies, where he was bound until the age of 21. He then took a patent foi 1,000 acres of land in Fallowfield Town ship and married England native Sally Strange; their first of 12 children, William Jr. was bom on the farm in 1761. Winnett farmed his homestead and became a barrel maker to support his large family. Two natural farm springs, the only ones in the region, run off and create wetlands conducive to wild life.
