Open And 4-H Dairy Show Held At York Fair

YORK York Fair’s dairy
competition swung into gear Wed
nesday morning, with the 4-H
show opening two full days of
dairy showring activity.
Kelly and Todd Morris, Fawn
Grove, dominated the Guernsey
breed show, taking top rosettes
with a pair of heifers. Kelly won r
the junior and grand champion
honors with Beas Bonus Tinker
bell, a senior yearling. Her brother,
Todd’s summer yearling, Beas
Lassies Dixie Bell, claimed the
reserve junior and grand honors.
Both heifers were bred by Joseph
Kilgore, Delta.
Sue Eisenhart continued a suc
cessful winning streak in the
Jersey breed with Pine Mountain
Fashionable Daisy. The senior and
grand champion five-ye Hr-old and
her milking daughter also earned
the Thomasville exhibitor first
place dam and daughter honors.
Taking the Jersey reserve senior
and grand spot was Tim Warner,
New Park, with his two-year-old,
Top-O-Hill Justin Ginger. Warner
snagged the junior championship
as well, with an intermediate calf,
Top-O-Hill Silver Beacon Gem.
Both were bred by Bruce Heller.
Annie Rauhauser, Dover, earned
the reserve junior champion roset
te with her homebred senior calf,
Lilac Springs Royal Lady.
Brown Swiss junior and grand
champion honors went to Kelly
Myers, with her intermediate calf,
Welsh Ponderosa Titan Holly,
bred by Mike Welsh. Shelly Shaf
fer, Glenville, took the reserve
