from the federal government for
new facilities. In addition, match
ing funds almost to that level were
provided in Pennsylvania’s
1986-1987 Capital Budget “So we
have a certainty of new facilities of
"$36 to $37 million for the college
of agriculture,” Jordan said.
Besides the new agricultural and
science facility, the funds will pro
vide for a new poultry research
farm, remodeled dairy and swine
research units and a new k
research unit. “We will have sta..-
of-the-art facilities,” Jordan said.
“This will enable the university to
obtain grant funds for research and
to attract the best faculty and gra
duate students. We also want to
attract more undergraduate stu
dents into the field of agriculture.
And we believe these new facili
ties will help us,” Jordan said.
