tein Reserve grand championship
honors with his junior 2-year-old
Monica. As a 2-year-old Monica
produced 16,000 lbs with a 520
pound fat test. Her dam is Lynn
Acres Colonel Malinda and was
Steven’s 4-H animal. Monica was
sired by Elevation Mark. This
prize Holstein is just one of the 400
registered Holsteins at the Lynn
Acres Farm. Steven’s sister, Sta
cey, just 7-years old, begged her
parents to let her show for the first
time and her animal took a first
place.
Paul Anderson, judged the 4-H
show. Anderson, now retired, was
the Penn State University’s exten
sion dairy specialist. He devoted
much of his efforts to 4-Hers and
their projects.
