    New Jersey Holstein Assn. Sets
The New Jersey Holstein-
Friesian Association, in coopera
tion with the Holstien Friesian-
Association of America, will spon
sor a series of bam meetings in
early September.
To be held on four consecutive
evenings at various locations
throughout the state, the programs
will feature a classification
demonstration and an update on
the classification “Data Logger”
as well as an exhibition of the
equipment itself.
In addition to the classification
program, a presentation on Hol
stein Mate will be given by Kathy
Lee, Manager of Animal Breeding
Services at HFFA. The Holstein-
Mate program, new from HFAA,
is a computerized sire selection
program featuring simplicity and
flexibility, and yet is comprehen
sive enough to meet the needs of
all breeders.
The programs are free and open
to any and all interested persons.
All programs begin at 8:00 PM.

Herbert S. Siegel, profes
sor and head of Penn
State’s Poultry Science
Department, was named a
fellow of the Poultry Sci
ence Association of
America.
He was honored at the
association’s annual
meeting, held recently at
Oregon State University.
The Poultry Science
Association of America is
made up of more than
2,000 members from
across the United States
and Canada, and includes
many international scien
tists, educators and poul
try Industry members.
