cheese cutting board, complete
with a pound of real Cheddar
cheese, from the National Dairy
Board. The mailing was part of the
Board’s continuing effort to draw
attention to the dairy industry and
increase media awareness of the
National Dairy Board.
The cutting board, emblazoned
with the National Dairy Board’s
logo, whetted the appetites of 200
members of the national media,
and encouraged them to include
dairy-related stories in their publi-

says Ron Hamel, Vice President of
Public Affairs for the National
Dairy Board.
The Dairy Board’s efforts to
expand news coverage of dairy
products and industry issues have
generated positive publicity in
many areas of the national media.
Recently, morning television
personalities Bryant Gumblc and
Willard Scott delivered the
National Dairy Board’s message to
more than four million viewers
across the country, as they
announced on NBC’s “Today”
show that June is Dairy Month and
featured a prominent display of
cheese on the set.
The “Today” show coverage
was a direct result of the National
Dairy Board’s PR campaign and
the cheese board mailing.
