sion, 4-H member Julie Rutledge,
Tyler Hill, exhibited the Grand
Champion Steer. Reserve Grand
Champion Steer was exhibited by
Shane Fuller, Damascus. The
Champion Lightweight was exhi
bited by Steve Richner, Pleasant
Mount, and Reserve Champion
Lightweight exhibited by Brian
Weist, Honesdale. Anna Rutledge,
Equinunk, and Joe Wentzell, Hon
esdale, exhibited Reserve Champ
ion steers. Other 4-H members
who exhibited blue ribbon steers
were: David Haynes, Starrucca,
and Lynette Wentzell, Honesdale.
In the Junior Beef Breeding
division, Melissa Megivem, Pleas
ant Mount, exhibited a blue ribbon
junior yearling heifer.
In the Junior Beef Fitting and
Showing division, Jeannette War
ring, Pleasant Mount, was named
Grand Champion Showman and
Tim Rutledge, Equinunk, Reserve
Grand Champion. Manuel Seeley,
Lake Ariel, was selected as the
Grand Champion Fitter and Scott
Rutledge, Tyler Hill, Reserve
Grand Champion. Additional blue
ribbon winners in fitting and show
manship competition were: Scott
Rutledge, showmanship; Decker

White and Matt White, fitting.
In the Open Beef Breeding clas
ses, Carol Eltz, Pleasant Mount,
exhibited the Champion Angus
female while Jeannette Warring
exhibited the Reserve Champion
female. In the Hereford classes,
Anderson Maple Farms exhibited
the Champion Hereford bull and
Melissa Megivem the Reserve
Champion. Both the Champion
and Reserve Champion females
were exhibited by Anderson
Maple Farms.
In the Open Class Market Steer

Champion. In the Angus classes,
Jeremy Cries, Milanville, exhi
bited the Champion Angus steer.

Junior Sheep Show
Patrick Mang, R.D. 1, Hones
dale, exhibited the Grand Champ
ion 4-H Market lamb at the Wayne
County Fair. The Reserve Grand
Champion was exhibited by Amy
Burlein, R.D. 2, Honesdale. The
Champion Lightweight lamb was
exhibited by Kirk Schweighofer,
Honesdale, and Reserve Champ-
ion Lightweight was exhibited by
Carrie Burlein, Honesdale. Amy
Spangenberg, Starrucca, exhibited
the Reserve Champion Middle
weight market lamb and Patrick
Mang the Reserve Champion
Heavyweight. Other blue ribbon
winners in the Junior Market Lamb
show were: Crystal Schweighofer
and Gary Schweighofer,
Honesdale.
Blue ribbon winners in the pair
of market lambs class were; Carrie

ship competition, Patrick Mang
was named Grand Champion
Showman and Carrie Burlein

Korb, R.D. 1, Honesdale, was an
additional blue ribbon winner.
In the Junior Sheep Breeding
show, Michael Mang, Honesdale,
exhibited both the Champion and
Reserve Champion Hampshire
ewes.

In the Hampshire breed. Moon
Hill Farm, R.D. 1, Honesdale,
exhibited both the Champion and
Reserve Champion rams v'hile

David Sverduk, Dalton, exhibited
the Champion and Reserve
Champion ewes. Sterling Farms,
Dalton, exhibited the Champion
and Reserve Champion rams, as
well as the Champion and Reserve
Champion ewes in the Southdown
breed. Hidden Hollow Farm,
Greentown, pulled down top hon
ors in the Columbia breed with the
Champion ram and Champion and
Reserve Champion ewes. In the
Lincoln breed classes, Virginia
Sverduk, Dalton, exhibited the
Champion and Reserve Champion
rams and Champion and Reserve
Champion ewes. David and Luann
Sverduk received top honors in the
Montadale breed by exhibiting the
Champion and Reserve Champion
